About Durable Nexus

Durable Nexus is a modular ERP system built for creative studios — web development shops, design agencies, and marketing firms that need to track time, bill clients, and manage projects without the overhead of enterprise software.

It's built and maintained by Durable Programming, a custom software development firm based in New Hampshire.

Why We Built It

Managing a studio means tracking time across projects, invoicing clients, and keeping clients informed — usually across three or four separate tools that don't talk to each other. We built Durable Nexus to bring those pieces together in a single platform that's modular enough to fit how studios actually work.

The Stack

Durable Nexus runs on the same stack we use for our client projects:

  • Backend: Rage.rb (Ruby API framework) with PostgreSQL
  • Frontend: SvelteKit with TypeScript and UnoCSS
  • Auth: Ory Kratos (session-based with optional OAuth2)
  • Permissions: Ory Keto for resource-level access control
  • Infrastructure: Deployable to Kubernetes or bare-metal via Ansible
